Autumn School Social Activities

We are planning a visit to the Roman ruins and the Museum of Conímbriga, an important Roman village, that already existed before being conquered by the Roman Empire. These ruins are located in a small plateau near the village of of Condeixa-a-Velha, about 15 Km south-west from Coimbra.

Afterwards we plan to go to Montemor-o-Velho (we may follow this link for a more tourist oriented information). This small city lies on the shore of the Mondego river, about 15 Km west from Coimbra. We will visit the castle which is believed to have been built before the 10th century.

These visits will take place on the afternoon of September 22.
